Gear hobbing machine WMW MODUL ZFWZ 160/3

WMW MODUL ZFWZ 160/3 gear hobbing machine was built in 1971 in the GDR by VEB Werkzeugmaschinenkombinat 7. Oktober” Berlin. The machine is used in plants manufacturing extremely precise drive components for, among others, the automotive, aerospace and machinery industries. It enables the efficient machining of spur and worm gears with a maximum external diameter of 160 mm. The machining process is performed by means of a spindle with a cutter with a maximum diameter of 110 mm. The spindle of the MODUL ZFWZ 160X3 machine moves along the contour of the workpiece, cutting the material along its entire circumference. Using this method, it is possible to achieve the desired shapes and teeth finish with the highest accuracy. The WMW MODUL ZFWZ gear hobbing machine weighs 3000 kg.
