In a fumigation, a room is flooded with a poisonous gas to fight pests / bacteria. Because they are toxic gases, special safety measures are required. Fumigations are common in the storage of organic materials (eg grain storage, in warehouses of harbors, silos, mills), in addition, in churches to control the woodworm.
It is a device which is used for the disinfection of rooms. Formaldehyde is boiled on the left-hand cooking plate and placed in a stream of air in a room together with K51227004 condensed water (right hearth) to kill all the bacteria.
