Complete Reifenhäuser extrusion line for thin-walled PP pipes
For sale is a complete extrusion line for the production of thin-walled pipes made of polypropylene (PP). The system covers the entire production process – from material supply and extrusion to vacuum calibration, cooling, hauffing and length measurement to automatic cutting and outfeeding.
The line is currently under construction at the Alicante site in Spain and can be visited by appointment. The sale is preferably carried out as a complete system.

MATERIAL SUPPLY AND RECYCLING
The material supply includes a side silo and a Mostan two-component suction conveyor with A-B diverter. New material and processed regrind can thus be fed into the production process.
A plastic mill with suction allows the direct shredding of rejected parts. The regrind can then be returned to the material supply. This enables a material-saving production cycle.
EXTRUSION AND TOOLING
The core of the system is a Reifenhäuser single-screw extruder with a 4 kW drive. The electrical system was modernized in 2005 and equipped with a frequency converter. The scope of delivery includes two extrusion heads as well as a tool cabinet with various calibration sleeves and mandrels.
The existing tools are intended for the documented pipe sizes. The exact tool stock and the respective usability should be checked together during the inspection and recorded in the purchase contract.
CALIBRATION AND COOLING
After extrusion, the pipe passes through a vacuum calibration section with a cooling tank. Integrated water and vacuum pumps are used to shape and cool the thin-walled pipes.
In addition, an air-cooled chiller is part of the system. The refrigeration unit was built in 2015 and, according to the documents, has been in use since 2019.
TAKE-OFF AND LENGTH MEASUREMENT
Pipe transport is carried out via a robust Graewe crawler take-off with three-phase motor and frequency converter.
An IVO measuring wheel provides the length signal for the downstream cutting machine. A second output is used to monitor the material flow and can issue a safety signal in the event of a material standstill. An additional IVO spare measuring wheel is also available.
CUTTING AND SPOUT
The rotating Battenfeld pipe cutting machine is designed for cutting lengths of approximately 100 to 2,500 mm. According to the documentation, existing clamps cover a range of about 30 to 120 mm.
After cutting, the pipes are ejected from the line via an automatic pneumatic tilting table.
