Condition: Visually and technically very good condition, almost as good as new, only used in trial operation. A current functional test was possible without any problems.

Explanations: The melting of hot melt adhesives by extruder has the advantage over tank melting plants that only as much material is melted in a continuous process as is processed in a timely manner. The system is ready for use comparatively quickly without a long preheating time. A graduated heating process maintains adhesive integrity within the closed extrusion system. Heated adhesives are thus protected from deposits, contamination and cross-linking that can occur when exposed to ambient air. The material does not coke immediately if the system is switched on and off more often. In this respect, the system-related maintenance and cleaning costs associated with tank melting devices do not arise.

History: We bought the system unused with the aim of using it on a new high-performance paper folding system with parallel discharge of up to 8 glue beads. Contrary to our expectations, the melting capacity of the extruder of 20 liters per hour (EX20) was not sufficient to P5760784 meet the peak demand P5760784 of the folding line. That's why we didn't use the Nordson EX20 extruder.
