METREL - Multi-function electrical safety tester

The MI2170 performs multiple types of electrical safety tests:

AC Dielectric (Withstanding) Tests – high-voltage stress tests (e.g., 1000 V and 2500 V) to check insulation strength.

Insulation Resistance Measurement – typically DC insulation resistance at 500 V.

Leakage Current Tests – including differential, touch and substitute leakage.

Continuity Tests – protective earth/continuity checks (at various current levels like 200 mA and 10 A).

Discharge Time Measurement – measures how fast voltage decays after disconnecting power.

Voltage Drop & Functional Tests – useful for verifying that equipment operates correctly under load.
