This excellent condition KHS Innopack Kisters SP A-M high-speed automatic shrink packing machine was manufactured by KHS in 2017. It is designed for the efficient secondary packaging of beverage cans and bottles into retail-ready multipacks using shrink film. The machine has operated in less than 10,000 hours, maintained by the book and this in very good condition. Operation was stopped in the end of 2026.

It has previously been used for packing beer and cider in 330 ml and 500 ml aluminium cans in package formats of 6 × 330 ml, 12 × 330 ml and 6 × 500 ml, but it can be easily configured into various other formats. It has an operating speed of up to approximately 80 tacts per minute and a total line production capacity of up to approximately 42,000 cans per hour, depending on container type and packaging format.

The machine has automatic product infeed, lane distribution and grouping, precise package formation, shrink-film feeding and wrapping, an integrated shrink tunnel with forced-air circulation, product discharge and cooling/stabilization sections. It has two-roll shrink film feeding system and it is capable to process pre-printed shrink film with accurate print registration, allowing branded film graphics to be correctly positioned on each finished multipack.

Machine operation and synchronization are controlled by a Siemens SIMATIC S7-400 PLC-based automation system together with a dedicated KHS operator interface, providing centralized control of product handling, film feeding, package formation, shrink process parameters, machine speeds, operating modes, alarms and diagnostics. Machine can be connected to centralized SCADA systems, and it has remote maintenance connection.
