IMA COMBIMA K/II/R75/760/V/R3 edge banding machine was built in 2000
in Germany by IMA-Maschinenfabriken Klessmann GmbH. The machine is
used in woodworking workshops and furniture manufacturing companies,
where it is used for the precise edge-banding of components made from
chipboard, MDF and laminated materials. The durable bond between the
board edge and the edging contributes to the aesthetic appearance of
the finished components, whilst also increasing their resistance to
mechanical damage and moisture.
The edge banding process begins with heating the adhesive to the
correct temperature, and then applying it evenly to the edge of the
board. At the same time, the edging is precisely pressed against the
surface with rollers. Maintaining the correct temperature and constant
pressure ensures the adhesive bonds evenly along the entire length of
the component, guaranteeing a high-quality finish.
The IMA COMBIMA edge banding machine is designed for machining
components with maximum dimensions of 2250 x 1300 x 45 mm. The
adjustable edge banding speed in the range from 6 to 30 m/min enables
the working pace to be adapted to the type of material being machined
and to production requirements, guaranteeing high precision and
repeatability of the finish. All these features, combined with a
stable design, make the IMA COMBIMA K/II/R75/760/V/R3 edge banding
machine ideal for both mass production and the manufacture of bespoke
furniture.
