BMW 3.0 CS (E9) – 1973 – Roadworthy restoration object

Classic BMW 3.0 CS (E9) from 1973, finished in grey metallic and equipped with the 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol engine and automatic transmission. The vehicle was purchased by the current owner in 1994 and has not been presented for inspection since the last technical inspection in 1999.

The car is in moderate condition that needs to be restored and, according to the available expert report, is described as approximately 80% complete. The bodywork shows corrosion and blistering under the paint in several places, including on the inner wings, interior panels, front wheel passages and right front door. The chrome parts and rear bumper also show signs of wear and age.

The interior is largely complete and relatively well preserved, with the exception of wear and tears on the blue fabric driver's seat.

During the expertise in 2023, the engine could be started. A restoration of the bodywork and chassis is recommended.

The vehicle is offered with historical on-board documentation, certificate of conformity and expert report from 2023. An interesting basis for the restoration of a now highly sought-after BMW E9 coupé.
