ABB IRB 2400 M2000 robotic machining cell manufactured in 2004 in Switzerland, is equipped with an ABB IRB 2400/16 6-axis industrial robot and an ABB IRC5 controller for the control of the manipulator and peripherals. The machining station has so far been configured and used for milling of allowances after thermoforming workpieces.

The high-performance milling robot has an arm with a maximum reach of 1550 mm, capable of handling workpieces weighing up to 16 kg. The industrial robot achieves the best cycle performance thanks to modern technology that automatically optimises parameters and executes the programmed path regardless of speed or operating mode, even after an emergency stop or power failure.

The BaseWare OS operating system is used to fully control every aspect of the machine, ensuring the highest machining accuracy is achieved. The robotic milling station is offered with extensive equipment, including: a SIEMENS SIMATIC S7-300 PLC controller and a PERSKE KRS 35.3-2 servomotor.
